The day starts when Jérémie, our skipper, picks you up at your homestead to take you on a 4 hour excursion along the ocean and the lagoon. The magnificent turquoise lagoon will open its waters to reveal longtail stingrays, eagle rays and the rare yet wondrous times, the ballet of the manta rays. Your boat will then throw anchor right next to a coral reef where you can swim and snorkel in full privacy and security of the 2-meter shallow waters while discovering the huge variety of multi-colored tropical fish in their habitat.
After passing under the bridge which separates the Huahine iti from the Huahine nui, you’ll cusp the cliffs of the Maroe Bay where the Polynesian legends have been inscribed directly on the rock. Weather permitting, the adventure continues to the Farerera Pass for a chance to see the dolphins playing in front of your boat in the deep blue of the Pacific Ocean. The next stop will bring you to a pearl farm, where you’ll be given an introduction to the pearl oyster culture and techniques. Next, while some may be wading effortlessly in the waters with their snorkel equipment, the more adventurous types can enjoy the thrill of gliding on the water to the speed of a wakeboard.
